Each Week we will be featuring a player so everyone can get up and close with the Murrumbidgee Juggernauts. These players will be people you will see around if you come and watch a game. This week we are interviewing a player who is not a fan of early starts and is generally found regularly donating money to the canteen (through purchases).
Name: Rhys Munzel Playing Number: 11 Position: Football: Half Forward (anywhere on the ground's generally preferred). Favourite Food: RJ's Worst Habit: Non-football: Wearing non-matching socks; Football: kicking points / spectating / general laziness. Favourite Teammate: Brother Rossco - when he's not kicking more goals than me. Career Highlights: Heady days of U/14s, and road trips to any of: Yass, Cooma, or Goulburn. |

Both Teams Pumped for a Family Day Takeover |
|
Jul 04, 2008 at 09:00 AM |
|
Both teams wrapped up preparations for Family Day at Kambah last night. Coach Warren Taylor was very excited about his sides prospects as they tackle a Woden side who are coming off a victory against highly fancied ANU last weekend. Taylor said that there will be a shake up of some of the positions this week as the Murrumbidgee firsts try to gain a new spark ahead of the finals. “We are trying to release a tag as well as gain some ascendency in the forward half of the ground” Taylor said at last nights team meeting. The Firsts are coming off a hard fought victory last week and will look to continue their good form on Family Day. With the twos side playing a Yass side that is undefeated, they will have their work cut out for them. The twos will need to lift and reverse a sixty point drubbing at the hands of the ladder leaders the last time they met in round 3. Twos Coach Keiran Rogers was unavailable for comment. FAMILY DAY DETAILS: 8:30am – 5:00pm Saturday 5 July at Stirling Oval, 5 exciting matches in the Stirling Complex with the Murrumbidgee Reserves starting at 12:15 and the Firsts at 2:15 |
