Interviews and Videos
Mar 04, 2010 at 08:30 AM

This year Murrumbidgeefc.com is once again looking to improve.  In order to do this we have not only kept the polls (on the right had side of the main page) going but also decided to create an even greater Jugga experience by conducting some interviews.

Throughout the year we will hopefully have interviews with coaches, players, managers and fans which will be available here exclusively on Murrumbidgeefc.com

The first two interviews were conducted before the Juggas first hit out of the season against Bathurst.  Murrumbidgeefc.com was fortunate enough for Peter Yandle, Murrumbidgee and Bathurst great and one half of the Marshall Yandle Trophy, to give us his time as well as injured vice-captain Luke Kensey.

Click Here for these two interviews:

Juggernauts Footy Tipping
Mar 02, 2010 at 10:07 AM

It is finally here... JUGGERNAUTS TIPPING FOR 2010!

With only a few short weeks until the first bounce of regular season, it has come to that time of year again to get into footy tipping. So a comp has been setup for all Juggernauts and Juggernauts supporters alike. A fun friendly atmosphere to please your inner-gambler so join in and who knows, you could walk away richer than you thought possible, with first prize promising to be in the tens and tens of dollars! This year's season promises to be more exciting than ever, and who knows what the results will be.

Early sources have money on Chris 'Roger Pegerer' Bartram pushing for top spot and David 'Speccies R Us' Shannon leaping high above the pack. Who knows, even a rank outsider could come from nowhere and take this coveted prize. It truly is anyone's game.

There are great prizes on offer this year, So get in early to secure your spot for this prestigious invitation-only tournament. Follow this link http://www.footytips.com.au/comps/www-footytips-com-au-juggers sign up for an account (with a recognisable name/nickname so Squid know who wins) and join our league.

Name: Juggernauts FC

Password is 12010.

Please be sure to have all monies paid before the start of the season otherwise your tips won't count and this could prove vital towards the back end of the season. Tips need to be in 5 minutes before the first bounce of the first game of the weekend (Thursday in round 1).

Now for the part you have all been waiting for, prizes...

First Place40% of all entrance fees (again, could be in the tens and tens of dollars)

Second Place20% of all entrance fees

Third Place: A pat on the back and added bitter disappointment of how close they came to prizes.

* Last Place receives the inaugural Juggernauts wooden spoon and half a year of insult and torment until season 2011 begins.

All other monies go to the footy club kitty for future events (footy trip???). With entry fee of $10, the prizes could be enormous! So get registered early and make sure to have your entry fees paid to James McDonell (aka "Squid") by the start of the AFL season to get ready for a sensational season of footy and tipping.

Good luck and happy tipping

The Fight for the Marshall-Yandle Trophy begins Saturday
Feb 22, 2010 at 08:59 AM

The Murrumbidgee Football  Club will continue their friendly rivalry this weekend with the Bathurst Football Club as the Bushrangers make their way to the nation's capital.  Last year the Bathurst side also came to Canberra for the now annual fixture which has now been made into a battle for the Marshall-Yandle trophy to be contested over two legs (this week in Canberra and March 20 in Bathurst).

Pater Yandle who is both a Juggernauts and Bushrangers Best and Fairest winner and one of the creators of this firendly rivalry recently spoke exclusively to murrumbidgeefc.com about the history between the two clubs.

"The first match between the 2 clubs was played in 2006. Only about 8-10 players made the trip to Canberra, with the Juggernauts lending the Bushies players to ensure the game went ahead. In 2007 and 2008 the Juggernauts made the trip to Bathurst. In similar good spirits to the first game, the Bushrangers lent the Juggernauts some players to ensure the matches went ahead. 2009's epic slog on Gordon Oval's junior field was the first year that both clubs had strong numbers."

This year however the first match of this great rivalry will take place at Kambah Oval which is in good condition after recent rainfall.  Juggernauts Captain Steven Herbert recently commented that the ground was "the best it has been for a long while" when he was at the ground for a pre season training session.

The match will get underway at 1pm and entry is free.  There will be a canteen running which will refreshments available for purchase.
